Wireless Internet Access (Current Project)

For a number of years guests have been asking for Internet access while they stay on-site.  We are currently in the process of implementing a wireless internet access solutions (wireless hotspots) that will allow guests to purchase internet access.  This same solution also provides additional virus, spam and malicious software protection and also provides content filtering for both guests and staff.

Upgrade to Electricity Feeds (Completed)

The electricity feeds into Camp Clayton have recently been upgraded to 1) remove electrical wires from over the dining room 2) replace a condemned pole 3) move all high voltage wires from over play areas 4) replace all wires with insulated bundles and 5) move a pole that could have easily been hit by vehicles.

Rockwall Refurbishment

The Camp Clayton Rockwall was looking tired and dirty so Alex and Lucas spent some time reburbishing it.  They have done a wonderful job and made the wall look a million dollars.

Main Site Bathroom Refurbishments (Completed)

The Main Site bathrooms were recently refurbished with new vinyl, toilets/cisterns, water saving shower heads and other remedial work.  All main site mattresses and linen were also replaced as part of this project.

Sealing of Roads (Completed)

Approx 50% of the roads around the Camp Clayton site have now been sealed.  This not only provides a much more aesthetically pleasing environment but has also reduced the amount of dust and grime that makes it's way inside and has also ensured a smoother walking path from Bayside to Main Site.

Remedial Work on Trees (Ongoing)

This project included engaging the services of an arborist to assess the trees around the site, rate the severity of the work to be completed and prioritise the work.  While the highest priority work has now been completed there is still some ongoing work that will need to be done in coming years.

New Combi Oven (Completed)

A new Combi Oven has been purchases for the kitchen.  Both existing ovens have reached the end of their estimated life span.

Painting and Carpets in Duthoit Lodge

Duthoit Lodge (Staff Residence) has recently been painted out and carpets replaced.  This was made possible by an anonymous donor who earmarked a donation for this purpose.

New/Upgraded Road Signage (Completed)

Guests have been suggesting that the road signage at Camp was confusing and that they didn't know which way to drive.  To help in this respect a lot of the road signage has been updated/replaced with easier to understand signs..
