Meet our wonderful Board Members...

     

David Grey
President

David is the current Board Chairman and has skills and experience in organisational direction and change. David has recently instigated a forward looking process of Strategic Planning within the Board. He is a senior staff member at Leighland Christian School as the Business Manager.

Peter Jopson


Peter and his wife have been involved with Camp Clayton over many years. Pete brings sound management experience from his professional work, as well as a deep understanding of the heart of Camp, it’s journey and growth over many years, from his personal involvement at various levels.

David Gates
Treasurer

David joined the Board in 1999, and has served on the Building Committee to construct the stadium, the extensive Kitchen and Dining project, and more recently the Waratah and Hellyer Houses. He owns and operates his own building business.

Chris Smith

Chris served as a full-time staff member in 1988-89, and joined the Board in 1998. Chris owns and operates his own building business and has an active interest in overseas humanitarian aid. Chris also serves as a part of our Building Committee.

Marilyn Steers

Marilyn has worked as a Midwife / Nurse in Burnie for over 25 years. She also does some casual work with World Vision, and has an interest in issues affecting third world countries including Global Poverty. She is also actively involved in several work and Church related committees, and enjoys helping at Camp Clayton as a volunteer, as Camp Mum or in the Kitchen.

Neville Atkinson

Neville has owned and operated his own significant dairy farming business together with wife Heather for many years. He has enjoyed serving on the Board since 1996 and is Associate Pastor at Romaine Park Christian Centre in Burnie.

Noel Jordan
Secretary/Public Officer

Noel Jordan; has recently joined the board. He has been a Christian for 7 years is  married with two children, He lives and works in Burnie as an account manager. He also a member of Gideon’s International.

Simon Eyles
 

Simon works at Highfield Industries as workshop foreman. He is married with 3 children. Simon has served on the board since 2008 and is an elder at the Deloraine Gospel Chapel. He also runs a kids Club and a boys Youth Group at the Chapel.

  Gareth Jubb
Board Trainee

Gareth’s first interest for Camp Clayton began during his early childhood when he lived at Camp Clayton for 8 years and during that time served in many camps. In 2008 he completed his first year in Business at the University of Tasmania majoring in Accounting and in recent months has successfully started his own personal training business ‘Gareth Jubb Fitness’
