High Staff Support
|

|
In all aspects of your experience
with us, Camp Clayton offers a high level of staff support. Whether it’s
catering staff who manage a range of special needs diets, admin staff providing
resource support prior to your event, or activities staff who are trained to run
the high level activities - we are here to serve you! With many staff also
living on site, you are never without help if you need it.

Large Capacity for Tasmanian Events
|
|
|
|

|
Where else in Tasmania can you find
a 200 bed complex in a natural rural environment, with so much to offer in
recreational facilities and great catering facilities - at such an economical
price? Camp Clayton can accommodate 200 overnight, can seat 700 in the stadium
for large events and can feed up to 400 people in one sitting. At the same
time, the flexibility of the site means that small groups can also feel at home.

Safety Awareness
|
|
|
|

|
Camp Clayton aims to be a safe place
to stay and play. In all respects - from children to facilities, safety is
paramount. Our activity equipment and building facilities are subject to regular
and thorough checks. First aid kits are provided throughout the site and staff
work with a high level of safety awareness. Camp Clayton is currently pursuing
the soon to be enforced regulations (as of 14-7-06) of the Building Act 2000,
requiring maintenance of ‘Essential Safety and Health Features and Measures’ and
a Compliance Certificate of such. |
Always Improving
|
|
|
|

|
Every time you return to Camp
Clayton, something has changed and improved. We are constantly working to
improve the facilities and service we offer. Sometimes these things are visible
- such as the new paved activity area or refurbished rooms; other times these
things are less obvious - such as improved hot water services, new safety
measures, underground drainage or upgraded electrical cabling. But you can be
sure, we are investing in the future of Camp Clayton by continually improving
what is here. |
Unique Features
|

|
There are some special features
completely unique to Camp Clayton that we are proud of. The Tasmanian mural
(by Paul Wood and Mary Clancy) that surrounds the Dining Centre has to be
seen to be believed. Instantly recognisable scenes of Tasmania, filled with
animals and cleverly hidden images and words make it a real experience to
discover. The theme ‘All Creation Declares the Glory of God’ is interspersed
throughout the site as a message of wonder at the creation all around you.
The Heritage Chapel is a beautiful location for reflection and prayer. It
sits quietly in the landscaped surrounds as a statement of faith. Finally
for the bravehearted, the Giant Swing (while very popular on the mainland)
is the first one in Tassie. You won’t find that adrenalin drop anywhere
else. Camp Clayton certainly has some unique features. |
