Here's some
things to do when the weather has it's own ideas.
|
Trivia Challenge
Number of people: More than 10
Equipment: Pens, paper, score board and questions
Separate your group into small teams (4-8 people) and
give them some paper and a pen. Ask them to list the number 1-10 down the
side and then read out the questions one by one. After all the questions
have been answered collect up the sheets of paper and add up the
total. You can do as many rounds as you like, or until your group has had
enough. Once you have finished all the rounds add up the total, you can
announce the winner. (A prize is always good too!)

Charades
Number of people: Any number
Equipment: None
Get one person up from
your group to act out either the name of a movie, a book title, television
program or something that everyone would know. They cannot talk, they can only use
actions. Who ever picks it goes next.

Speed Pictionary
Number of people: 8 or more
Equipment: Pen, paper, a list of things to draw
Separate your group into small teams (4-6 people) and
give them some paper and a pen. Ask one member from each team to come up.
Tell them the first object or item. They then race back to their team and
draw the object. They are not allowed to use numbers or letters, they cannot
talk, or make any actions. They can only draw and shake or nod their head.
Once someone has guessed it, they then race up, tell the person and get the
next object. It's the first team to get through the entire list without
cheating.

Wink Murders
Number of people: More than 15
Equipment: None
Get your group into a
circle and pick one person to go out of the room. That person is the
detective and they must try to discover who is killing everyone. Once out of
the room, choose the murderer. Make sure everyone else in the group knows
and then call the detective in. The murderer must try to kill people without
getting caught. If a person is killed they must fall over and lay down. The
detective only has 3 guesses.

The Big Wind Blows
Number of people: More then 10
Equipment: Enough chairs for everyone
Get
everyone to make a circle with their chairs and then pick one person to
start and take away their chair. The person in the middle stands and says
"The big wind blows all those who......." He then inserts something about
himself such as:
- think their nose is too big
- are wearing blue shirts
- have broken a bone
Everyone who has this thing in common with them jumps up from their chairs
and has to try and switch with each other. the person in the middle also
tries to get a chair. There should be one person left over to so the next
big wind blows. This is great game for people who don't know each other that
well.
